Spring Is Finally Coming

I'm back! This has got to be the longest break I've taken from my blog but hey, I have one more week of classes until my final exams! To add on top of my excitement, spring is finally coming... I can feel it. The snow is sloooooowly melting. Normally around this time, most if not all of the snow would have been gone by now. I'm happy that the temperatures got slightly warmer today so I finally got a chance to break out my new spring jacket. I like how the gold detailing makes this jacket a bit different from the ones I've seen in other stores.

Finding a part-time job is hard. Looking back, I realized the biggest problem was my cover letters. Guys, if you're ever finding a job, make sure your cover letter is well-written; that doesn't just mean having perfect grammar and spelling but being able to show your interest and personality through it. This is coming from experience. In the past, all I really did was reiterate what was already said on my résumé.
Last year, I started looking for a job in May and that was way too late because most places no longer accepted further applications. This year, I started earlier and I changed up how I wrote my cover letters. My university also has a career website with a lot of postings which really helped me find suitable jobs related to my degree. Well, guess what? I got a job offer! I'm waiting for a response from the other job I applied to (which I personally want more) so I hope all goes well :)

ReplyDeleteI remember how I struggled in finding a part time job, because I had no previous work experience, but luckily I found a job I never thought of having! :)
Anyways, the weather in Latvia is very slowly starting to get warmer, but I still not have had the chance to wear spring clothes! :( Your jasket looks really great and I think you incorporated it in your outfit very well!
